It was through the imagination of our daughters that Hocking Hills Treehouse Cabins was created.
After searching for secluded property, with mature trees, beautiful views, close to the scenic areas in the Hocking Hills, we purchased 15 acres in South Bloomingville, Ohio to build a relaxing treehouse getaway. Each uniquely created based on the landscape and views of the individual construction site while keeping the magical design features of a treehouse.

A few years back my wife and I decided to buy a farm. We loved the land and wanted a place we could get away when we wanted. That’s when the idea came that we should build a tree house! That little idea turned into a grand one and now we have a full fledged mini house 30 feet up in the trees. We made the treehouses rent-able so people could have a unique experience and a place to get away without traveling far. That little idea turned into a big one and now we have a full fledged “Treesort”.

The treesort is on 36 private acres backed up to Siskiyou National Forest land & wilderness with 25 horses, two rocking horses, 4 dogs, & 1 cat usually running around. Out’n’About is a truly unique place. Part of it’s uniqueness has to do with that it is a home grown and based business. There are no locks on the treehouse doors. It is not the Ramada or Hilton in the trees, but is a genuine four star Treesort.
