A great gathering at the 2012 World Treehouse and Zipline Conference!
Michael Garnier, WTZC host, talks about the pros and cons of various tree attachment bolts.
The 2012 World Treehouse and Zipline Conference was hosted in early October by Michael Garnier at the Out ‘n About Treehouse resort in Cave Junction, OR. It was educational and fun! One great idea, suggested by Kevin Mooney, was to form an International Treehouse Association. A group of about 30 participants met to discuss it and form committees to get things started. Jake Jacobs of Treehouse ARTZ, lead the discussion on the formation of the association. Pete Nelson, Nelson Treehouse and Supply, added some great ideas based on his vast experience. Dan Wright, Treetop builders, volunteered to lead the web and communication committee. The other members of the committee are John Shulters, Ascension Studios (be sure to check John’s website for some cool virtual 3D treehouse images), Oley Crocker, Out ‘n About, and Mike Shulters, Treehouse Nation. Thanks to Jake and Michael and everyone else who helped pull the conference together!
